Why We Exist
At Eagan Soccer Club, we believe development can’t wait.
The most important years in a player’s journey happen between U6 and U12. This is when players build confidence, develop skills, and begin to truly love the game.
Unfortunately, in the United States these years are often overlooked.
Many clubs place their most experienced coaches with the older teams, while younger players are frequently coached by volunteers or less experienced coaches. While those coaches dedicate countless hours and deserve appreciation, we believe the youngest players deserve access to experienced coaches during the years when development matters most.
That’s why Eagan Soccer Club was created.
We are a club built exclusively around U6-U12 players. Our focus isn’t simply on winning games today, it’s on developing players who will still be playing, improving, and enjoying the game years from now.
Our Philosophy & Goal
Our training philosophy is inspired by many of the world’s leading European academies, where technical development comes before tactics and results. Through futsal, ball mastery, decision-making, creativity, and confidence on the ball, we give players the tools they need to succeed as the game becomes faster and the field becomes bigger.
We know the statistics show that many players leave soccer around the U13 age. In many cases, it’s not because they don’t love the game anymore. It’s because they no longer feel confident enough to play it.
We want to change that.
Our goal isn’t to create the best U10 team.
Our goal as a coaching staff is to develop each player individually so that they can progress through the levels of the Eagan Soccer Club (ages 6-12) and into MLS and ECNL Academies or our affiliate club, Blast Soccer Club who is based out of Eagan
(for ages 13-19).
